BLACK TIE AND TAILS
There is more than one way to wear a man's clothes and what better way than to channel Fred Astaire via Marlene Dietrich than in a classic take on the traditional art deco tuxedo?
I love the look so much that I interpreted it into an evening shoe...so that you can be wearing a stiffened collar except it's around your ankles when the night begins. Yes a stocking top could complete the look...The mind boggles!
Actually why not wear these with an actual tuxedo shirt and starched bow tie? And black tap dancing shorts? The cigarette is optional...except for Marlene. I love the way she smokes when she's dressed like a man. It's a gaze to cut across the ages. Right in step with a formal mood for evening that slices to the heart of a grand seduction.
